Put the sunshine into your morning with this golden turmeric latte. As well as providing a bright yellow color and flavor, this latte is a great way to consume turmeric and one of the healthiest superfoods around. Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant with a number of uses and benefits, from easing inflammation to increasing circulation to protecting the heart and brain. I try to include turmeric in my diet daily-- I’ll mix it into my eggs, or sprinkle it into smoothies, but lately this latte has been a new way to incorporate it and it might be yours too. You can whip up the spice into a warm, creamy treat on a cold breezy day. Here’s how.
Yield: Serves 1
What you need-
Ingredients:
1 cup milk of choice
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp ground ginger/ fresh grated ginger
Pinch of black pepper
What you do:
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk of your choice.
- Bring to the point where it is almost boiling.
- Whisk in the Turmeric Tea Drop and spices until well blended and frothy. Strain through a fine mesh strainer, if desired.
- Stir with a cinnamon stick, sprinkle with ground cinnamon, and ENJOY!
All that’s left to do is grab your favorite blanket, curl up on the couch, and binge on Scandal before the new season premiere.
